About Audite in Aqua
Hello, my name is Herbert de Briais Backer, owner of Audite in Aqua.
As a former competitive swim coach of several swimming teams in the Netherlands for over a decade, I was looking for an instrument to improve the technique and performance of my athletes.
In this search I got acquainted with a bone conduction underwater communication system.
Through a radio transmitter for the coach and waterproof headset receivers for the swimmers I could now communicate in real time with my athletes.
I learned that the impact of the instructions to my swimmers during practice was enormous.
Real-time instructions were followed up by immediate adjustments of the swimmer to their technique with great results.
Enthusiastic about this new step in training I also started to sell this system to fellow coaches.
Audite in Aqua, which stands for "Hearing in Water", was founded.
Meanwhile, Audite in Aqua has been a supplier of underwater communication systems for swimming since 2016 and has been selling its products to many clubs worldwide.
Apart from competitive swimming clubs, we have always had a big Artistic Swimming client base.
We have always been conscious of the shortages that the existing systems had for the use in artistic swimming.
That is why in 2023 we grabbed the chance with both hands to co-develop a system that would meet the requirements needed for artistic swimming as it was already such a big part of our buyer’s audience.
As a supplier with many years of experience and feedback received from our users, we were able to give the input that resulted in the system we are selling today.
Many months of development and testing provided us with a system with the right specifications with regards to design, fit, user friendliness and above all underwater range and sound quality.
Launched at the end of 2023, we are now selling our product to national artistic swimming teams and clubs alike in over 30 countries worldwide and at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris last year already 8 out of the 18 national artistic swimming teams participating were already using our system.
